Biographie :
En 2001, Randy Orton bat M. Black lors de Valentine's Day a la NWA Ohio Valley Wrestling et remporte le titre Hardcore.
Le 05 mai 2001, Orton bat Flash Flanagan pour le titre Hardcore de la OVW.
Il fait ses début a la WWE le 25 avril 2001 lors de Smackdown, Orton a battu Hardcore Holly.
Orton est passé de Smackdown a RAW le 23 septembre 2002. Il a alors battu Steven Richards.
En janvier 2003, Orton s'est associé a Triple H et Batista, et ric Flair pour formé Évolution.
En Octobre 2003, il lutte contre RVD dans les House Show pour la course au titre Intercontinental.
Il devient World Heavyweight Champion après avoir battus Chris Benoit lors de SummerSlam 2004.
